My Blogging Experience

In this time I share with you my blogging experience in this English class.

This experience I described it as positive in to my learning process. In fact, I could say than enjoy this blogging sessions because in this virtual portal I can share with you my different ideas, opinions and experience of my own life. I think that always wrote themes to my taste like music and films.

Too enjoy this blogging sessions for the opportunity to meet each of my classmates through their opinions, life experiences and their personal tastes. The postings were the instance for a virtual interaction with them.

I think that pedagogically the blog helped me to improve my English because permitted me to exercise my written English, allowed me to expose different ideas in this quasi universal idiom. The English idiom was intended as a second language within the Chilean educational system, but lamentably has been a goal with little success.

I also helped me to my reading exercise because the act of reading the blogs of my partners resulted in learn new vocabulary, new grammar in the sense of can say a same idea of different wave.

Always was very auspicious receive comment. This comments encouraged my work. Really!!
The possibility of comments to my partners was good because I felt important part of the learning process of my classmates.

Finally, the presence of Professor Alvaro in times of construction of this blog was crucial because his corrections and suggestions help me to expedite the expression of written ideas in the English language.

In this the last session of this blog I would like to say goodbye to each of you and wish them luck in their lives, especially in the learning process of English language.

Cañete: the best place to go on winter holidays

This summer holidays I was visiting the town of my boyfriend's grandmother. This place is called Cañete and, although I have visiting in summer, I think that Cañete is a perfect place for a relaxing winter holiday. In fact, I want to return this winter holidays.

Cañete is located in the province of Arauco, Bío-Bío Region, Chile. Cañete has an amazing historical past. It is one of the first cities founded in Chile and destroyed and reestablished several times, direct protagonist in the Arauco War. Cañete is the land of the Mapuche ancestors.

The people of Cañete are dedicated to forestry activity, agriculture activity and tourism and thus develop beautiful mapuche crafts. Especially ñocha (a type of basketry), textiles and silverware.
Cañete is full of the natural beauty. The Nahuelbuta Cordillera is site of the native flora and endemic species such as puma or condor. You can get to Piedra del Águila, a crag that dominates the vast landscape with an incredible view. Too, you can visit Lanalhue Lake where you can do water sports.

You can get to Cañete by bus directly from Santiago-Cañete by low prices. Also you may travel by train (Terrasur) or by plane to the city of Concepcion and from there to take a bus to Cañete. The travel takes a long time, about 9 hours. Despite this, I recommend you to make the trip by land because the changes in the landscape are amazing: vegetation becomes increasingly dense and the Andean Cordillera stars sinking as we move.

The reason why I recommend you Cañete as a winter holiday destination is for its delicious food. While I was in my boyfriend's grandmother’s house I ate a lot and very delicious typical preparations like cazuelas, tortilla al rescoldo, mote, alfajores, toasted flour and a delicious wheat coffee. What I remember the most is that my boyfriend’s grandmother was always cooking delicious food with incredible aromas.
